Tom and Jeannie began their vineyard ownership in 1996 among the fertile soils of the Lodi region. Jeannie’s family (Rich and Janet Watts) came to the area in the mid-1960’s and established the original family vines where her grandfather, father and two brothers farmed. One of the brother’s and Jeannie still farm to this day. When Jeannie and Tom were married in 1996, both with careers in education also took on small vineyard ownership and have grown since that time. Tom and Jeannie have raised their children in this region with strong family and local ties. When their youngest son comes home from college, he will be the 4th generation to farm grapes in this region.
Tom and Jeannie grow a number of varietals in the fertile loam soils near Acampo, California. The varietals include merlot, zinfandel (for red), zinfandel (for white), as well as chardonnay and cabernet. Their farming philosophy of that of single focus: Quality.
